Vision & Mission of DIET, Morigaon
VISION
As an apex academic body of the district, DIET, Morigaon has envisioned to build a generation of excellent, professional and innovative teachers with appropriate knowledge and skills having a spirit of dedicated service, sense of accountability, higher values by pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes and thereby to ensure high learning levels of elementary and secondary school students in the district by transforming the traditional classroom teaching-learning practices into childrens experiential learning as recommended by NEEP-2020.
MISSION
- To develop and work with outcome-oriented meticulous short-term and long-term action plans.
- To provide monitoring and on-site school support for all classes with a special focus on the foundational stage.
- To promote experiential learning, arts-integrated, sports-integrated and IT-based learning in classrooms and assessments.
- To build the capacity of teachers to utilize information technology and other resources to improve classroom practices.
- To identify outstanding practices of teachers in schools and disseminate them through seminars and district, block and CRC level interactions.
- To facilitate mastery of skills related to pupils continuous assessment among practicing teachers.
- To keep faculty members updated with modern pedagogy and practices laid down in the National Curriculum Framework based on NEP 2020.
- To support teachers in holistic academic management of schools.
- To empower teachers to initiate parent and community involvement in academics and school development processes.
- To promote practice-based research, innovation and sharing of best practices among teachers within the district and the state.
