Morigaon DIET refers to the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Morigaon, Assam, established on 8th May 1995. The institute focuses on teacher training, educational research and the improvement of elementary education quality in the district. It serves as a key academic hub, offering programmes like D.El.Ed and B.Ed., and plays an integral role in Assam's education system by working towards national educational goals through innovative practices and capacity building.

DIET, Morigaon aims to develop and in course of time become a Centre of Excellence for teacher training and academic support in the Morigaon district. The institute conducts action research, case studies and research projects and promotes innovative teaching-learning practices including the integration of ICT.

For community development initiatives, DIET, Morigaon adopted Oujari village under Bhurbandha Block focusing on skill development, vocational education, life skills, social skills and cultural development. Short-term training courses are conducted every Saturday with the support of ITI, Morigaon.

The institute consistently promotes creativity and innovation not only within the campus but also beyond it. DIET, Morigaon actively addresses social concerns by conducting awareness programmes like Environment Day, plantation drives, art & craft training, Best School Awards and "Guest of the Month" lectures involving experts from outside the district.
